I have not been around for long
but i have heard about the struggles
that my people went through
Captured and then sold
bought and then resold
souls forever soiled
Chained against each other
in chains and shackles
packed like sardines they sailed the seas
Upon arrival in the 2nd and 3rd worlds
pissed on and spat on and left cold
many killed for trying to be bold
Queens and Kings forced to bleed
hard labor on the slave yards
used, abused, used again then re-abused
spiritually brainwashed and tainted
forced to let go off their forefathers beliefs
with a whip from a lynch the Bible became salvation
Seeking to understand the New World Order
prophetic voices in the wilderness where head screaming
"Wade In the Water Children!!!"
With the Bible sold came more abuse
no eyes for an eye...that makes the world blind
do not mind if hurt on one cheek, offer the other one too
Bloody tears became rivers across all the plateaus
royal ancestry bleed billion times two-fold
that story still needs to be heard and retold
In your blackness there is niceness
Motherland loves you Children
Nile flows in you all
