TAINTED ROLE MODELS IN DA HOOD, GOT ME SEARCHING FOR ROLE MODELS IN HOLLYWOOD

Tainted role models in da hood 
got me tripping, falling and smoking
a-one, a-two a-three spliffs 
making me, leading me,
to soar, to take wing
to an all time high
with each huff and puff
and i start to seek
the man in the mirror
to no avail, for i wear a veil
becoming a mask
that is wanting me
to be something
i am not
so i make and take
a-four, a-five a-six
large pulls of da spliffs
and i huff and puff
with a double vision
forcing me
to be
my own hostage
lost in an ally
in the ghetto hood
hearing blues and souls
from ancient bar
that survived Katrina
and if feel the
cavity of my chest
surrender and
is caving in
and i see
clip of my life
rolling before
my eyes
and i start to choke
so instead of getting an inhaler
i make a quick one more spliff
and i pull one after another
a-one a-two and one more pull
i loose consciousness
when i regain composure
i see myself stand at the pearls gate
and i see the arch angel
he calls me in and and says
tainted role models in da hood
got you tripping, falling and smoking
