Warm greetings from Conflict Resolution by Youth (CRY) Uganda, a non Governmental organization founded in 1999 by young Ugandan ladies. It was registered in 2001 as an NGO non-profit non-governmental organisation in the Republic of Uganda. (CRY Uganda Reg. No. is S. 5914/3555). It arose out of the desire to change the prevalent culture of violence embraced by the youth to one of non-violence in addressing challenges that are faced by young people today CRY was founded by young people for young people. It has also been incorporated as a Ugandan company limited by guarantee, Its tax identification number is B08-1010-5244-S.
It arose out of the desire to change the prevalent culture of violence to that of non-violence by addressing issues that face young people today. This is backed by the firm belief that young people need to be exposed to wider horizons in order to change their lifestyles and attitudes – the guiding principle in CRY’s mission, a bold step in realising and securing social entrepreneurship. CRY Uganda is currently working on youth peace projects in south-east Asia and all over Uganda, but with particular focus to the northern and eastern parts of the Uganda in the districts of Lira, Kampala, Wakiso, Gulu, Kasese, Kabale, Bushenyi, Kitgum, Bukedea, Kapchorwa, Soroti, Kumi and Nakapiripirit, Moroto, Kitgum, Amuru, among others. CRY Uganda are part of a number of networks globally and exploit the magic that together we are stronger.

CRY recognizes that Youth are a resource. Youth are the resource. CRY Uganda submits that we ought to use the numbers, optimism, energy and enthusiasm of young people for solving today’s world challenges.
