When the fire came

When the fire came
nothing in its path was spared
walls within the kingdom did crumble
souls died, souls became humble
all they had known was no more
everything was reduced to ashes
and yet from the ashes of Babylon
that which once stood must be rebuild
with the right minds and right hearts
wisdom does save the days and reign
as rainy showers fall ashes remain no more
the pain and the past will be buried
with the soil no longer tainted
there will be more aeration in granules
when the time is right, light will seep through
even darkness does appreciate light
otherwise it will be lost forever in some abyss
with light seeping through the seams and pages
the time will dawn to rebuild the kingdom!
